Professor Eisenhower: A Legacy Beyond His Name

David Eisenhower is more than a famous name. The grandson of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, husband of Julie Nixon, and the namesake of Camp David, his life is undeniably woven into the fabric of American history. But this documentary looks beyond the headlines. At the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Eisenhower has carved out a legacy of his own — as a gifted scholar, thoughtful author, and beloved teacher whose quiet wisdom leaves a lasting mark on his students.

Our Dance

In this short animation, minimal text and deliberate visuals evoke the universal ritual of a mother’s quiet support. Growing up as a dancer, I often woke before rehearsals and competitions with a pit in my stomach and trembling hands. The quiet routine of my mother waking me and preparing my hair was the only antidote to my racing mind. Looking back, I know her heart raced just like mine — yet she still steadied me. This piece explores that duality: my anxiety, her unwavering calm, and the silence that held us both.
